Logistic Map Video

Hey all,

Coming off of our quadratic map discussion in Lecture 8, Michael Robinette, from class, sent me a link to a Logistic Map video on youtube.  It is a more pop-math kind of thing than a real math video, but it does a good job of setting the stage and working through the basics of the map as a population modeler.  For homework, please watch this 18 minute spot.  Actually, the last few minutes are some other stuff, and, for now, the only important stuff is the first few minutes.

But we will look at many of the items detailed in the full video in time, including the transition to chaos and Feigenbaum's Number.

Enjoy the film:       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovJcsL7vyrk
